Swimming in Poky

Hannah had her second swim meet the other day. She is progressing so much! I tried to post the results of one of her races, but it is a little blurry! Now we have winter champs where she will participate in five events...the 25 free, the 50 free, the 25 back, the 50 back, and...the first leg of a 100 free relay! I am a little nervous, but she seems to think nothing of it! I guess that is what moms are supposed to do!

Shoveling

The first of March we had a nice little snow fall. We have been fortunate so far with the lack of snow we have had to shovel. However, with the house on the market, each little snow fall requires me to shovel the walks! This time Elayna really wanted to help...that is until she got a small amount of snow on her face (I wondered how that happened).

Valentine's Day

So, the girls and I had a great Valentine's Day. It started this weekend when we decorated Hannah's box for school. She did such a great job. I raided my sticker collection and she made a masterpiece out of an old princess shoe box! Even though Ed was out of town, we still showed the girls their presents while talking on the phone to him. Each girl got a small balloon with flowers inside, a small box of chocolates and a small kid friendly chapstick. They were very excited. For the topper, we celebrated dinner with an ever classy pepperoni pizza from Papa Murphy's shaped like a heart. The girls thought it was perfect! Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!!

Park with Daddy

Well, Ed came home this weekend. It was nice enough that we took the girls to the "big" park. They had lots of fun playing tag as well as the ever fun spinny thing of death! Wished I could have gotten a picture of Ed in the spinny thing, but I was laughing too hard! Afterwards, we took the girls to Costa Vida for some tacos and nachos...finished off with a cinnamon and sugar tortilla. Lastly we walked over to Kiwi Loco for some yogurt. Elayna alwyas likes to get the sour gummy worms, but her taste buds still make her quiver! That night Ed and I went on our Valentine's date. Sushi at Blue Hashi, followed by a movie, Safe House. Good day.

Skiing!

Hannah's first trip back to the mountain was an interesting one! She was so hesitant at first...she kept screaming "I can't" and then falling over. I almost left her on the mountain! It seriously took about 45 minutes to get 100 yards. However, after that, she was quite the little skier. She started back on the medium hills and was scooting her way down. We went skiing three days later with the school and she was cruising like a little pro. Now if we can keep her confidence going.
