Pre-K Graduation
This year Hannah graduated from Pre-K. The performance was fabulous. They did a small skit of Stone Soup, each child had a small speaking part. The parents had to work with them to memorize it. I was so proud of her. After a couple of kids speaking they would sing, two more speakers, sing some more...etc. They continued this until the book was finished. It was quite entertaining. Then they sang two songs afterwards. I always record one song, but half way through the second song, I had to start recording...it was too cute not to. In the pictures are Mrs. Copp, her artwork, and her besties.

Copper King Hotel
This weekend we went to Butte for Dawson's graduation party. After the party was over, we went back to the hotel for a bit so the kids could swim. The hotel pool had a huge water slide to go down. I was able to get some pretty good videos of it. The only problem with the slide is that the pool it emptied into was quite cold. Then, the hot tub was scorching! We couldn't find a happy medium. Elayna's lips turned blue in the big pool, but her whole body was bright pink in the hot tub. It literally took two trips down the slide for my nails to turn blue. Can't believe that Hannah went down that thing probably thirty times. Thank you Ed and Ryan for putting up with the freezing water!
Hannah's Birthday
This year for Hannah's birthday, she wanted to have it at the gymnastics center. For their small rental fee, you virtually have free rein of the facilities. It is a controlled environment where the children could run and release all energy. We rented the building for 90 minutes. We weren't sure if this was going to be enough time (factoring in cake and presents), but it turned out to be perfect. After 90 minutes the kids were all either too tired to continue or too hyper and needed a little cool down time. One of their favorite things was putting the foam blocks onto a trampoline and jumping with them. I was able to get a decent video of it. All of Hannah's friends were very generous. She recieved several Tangled items, Disney princess, and outdoor type toys. Of course once we got home, we had to play with most of them. The first to make the table was the play-doh (these were in the gift bags). The kids were quite content with this, Hannah even made a very cute little girl. Elayna wasn't quite sure what to do with it, but enjoyed smashing it none-the-less. After that was finished we had to go outside and draw on the sidewalk withour new chalk. Hannah made a tulip family while Elayna drew circles or swirls or whatever it is a 2 year old thinks they are creating. In any case, our sidewalk was very colorful.
The next morning was her real birthday. We had a small family party. Hannah wanted grilled cheese sandwhiches and tomato soup for her birthday meal...easy for me, I guess! Once again, she made out like a bandit. She received all the clothing she will need for the summer, plus the last couple of toys she has been asking for. We make three toy lists a year. First is the Santa list ("Put it on your list for Santa"), then the Easter Bunny list ("Put it on your list for the Easter Bunny"), and lastly it is the birthday list ("Put it on your birthday list"). Now comes the long haul...back to the Christmas list. All-in-all it was a great weekend. Hannah is doing very well and she was very greatful. She is now in the process of writing all of her Thank You cards. She is almost done.

Pedicure
As is tradition, my mother and I took Hannah to the nail spa to have her annual birthday pedicure. We usually get several throughout the summer, but it is on her birthday that we get our first pedicure of the year. The people at the shop know her and treat her nicely. She loves the kids chair with the DVD player on it. She also convinces them to draw on all ten toes instead of just the big one. Can't believe she is getting so big.
Phillips Wedding
Becca and Brandon had a very beautiful wedding. Her dress was gorgeous. Both hers and Rheya's dresses were made by the brides mom (I believe). The center pieces were very elegant and the cake was beautiful. Darius and Rheya were quite excited, and Hannah enjoyed being there with both of them. Elayna was unable to make it since she had a 104.4 fever, otherwise the picture in the upper left would be perfect with the phrase in the background.
Volleyball BBQ
So, our end of the year BBQ was fun. Our season was rough, but none-the-less fun. All the girls advanced their skills and mastered the "push-up". As you can see from the photos, they had nothing but respect for Ed. It's a good thing he is just a big kid!
