Sugar Cookies

This past Saturday we spent the day baking all types of goodies. Elayna wanted to be quite involved, but that meant eating and trying absolutely everything. To keep her occupied I sat her down with a spoonful of frosting...ironically this kept her busy for close to an hour! Hannah on the other hand is starting to understand the concept of measuring and actually is very patient and precise.

One of our baking highlights was sugar cookies. It was the first time that Elayna actually was able to make a few cookies; eventhough her patience runs out quite quickly, as does her attention span. It has developed into a father/daughter type tradition.

By the end of the day we had been baking for over seven hours. We were all tired and the girls went straight to bed. All-in-all it was a great day.
